Re: The Super Official BiM Upcoming Movie Updates and Discussion Thread

Catwoman doesn't surprise me at all, though I hadn't heard Hathaway's name tossed around. Bane is a complete bolt from the blue to me. I'm excited to see what Nolan does with the two.

Also, does anyone wonder how much fun he has watching fanboys squirming about, trying to figure out what he's planned, and then dashing their expectations to pieces? Nolan just seems hard to anticipate.

Heheheh I bet. =P

Anyways I've got over my "Black Mask absence" rage and am now really looking forward to see how Bane will be interpreted..

Catwoman is still a wrong term. The report says Selina Kyle so it's not definitely Catwoman, maybe she'lll just be hinted, or thrown in at the end like Two Face was in TDK.

Re: The Super Official BiM Upcoming Movie Updates and Discussion Thread

...or they don't want people to associate with the kitty litter that was Halle Berry's Catwoman. I'd be very, very surprised if her leather-clad side isn't in the movie, especially considering it's Nolan's last Batman.

and the new batman's car will be similar to the old one..

Re: The Super Official BiM Upcoming Movie Updates and Discussion Thread

I'm not quite sure what you're trying to say with that link, but there's no way that's going to be in TDKR.

Re: The Super Official BiM Upcoming Movie Updates and Discussion Thread

I'm not quite sure if you understand nothing at all, but he gets a new car in the movie because in Dark Knight the batmobile destroyed, the new batmobile will have a similar look as the old batmobile cars. You can think what you want but just wait until you see the new batmobile in the film.
It will be my pleasure to see what you have to say then to me...

Re: The Super Official BiM Upcoming Movie Updates and Discussion Thread

inb4 usual massive praise because it's a Christopher Nolan film

Again, BricksOnLife, your wording is a bit unclear to me, but I'll address the points as best as I can tell.

saying, "and the new batman's car will be similar to the old one.."

I would assume that you were proposing that the car pictured will be the new Batmobile of The Dark Knight Rises. I'm not sure what prompted this assumption, as I see no information on the page linked that backs up this claim. Nonetheless, it's ridiculous, as it would not fit the design aesthetic of Nolan's Batman films in the slightest.

Yes, I know that the Tumbler was destroyed in The Dark Knight, and yes, I assume that we'll see a new means of transportation for Batman. It just won't look like that.

EDIT: This would really be more aptly put in The Super Official BiM Upcoming Movie Updates and Discussion Thread. I'm moving it now.

Re: The Super Official BiM Upcoming Movie Updates and Discussion Thread

Well, Nolan is a master thus far.

He hasn't really done anything bad, so we really have no reason to believe that TDKR will be bad. In fact, since he is behind it, it should be quite good.

But just a reminder, there is a time when every director has a misfire. Not saying TDKR will be his, but you never know.

I enjoy Nolan's films. But just saying whenever a new film by him comes out there's an huge amount of praise.

Jargon you do not seem to understand much at all, the new batmobile car will be look similar to the old batmobile car. That pic I posted was an old batmobile car from Batman Forever.  Why is that ridiculous? I mean that batmobile is the primary vehicle in the comic books...I'm not saying that the car will look exactly like that in the film, but it will be similar.

How do I know? I have seen a pic of the new batmobile and it looks pretty cool, the photo was never published it was set on magazine in my land, some fan took a photo of the car when he went to a film school in New York 2010, and the school had a tour to Warner Bros in NYC and there he saw the car. You can believe what you want but the batmobile will be in TDKR.
Sorry about the English

Re: The Super Official BiM Upcoming Movie Updates and Discussion Thread

Well, you're free to have your opinions (and to doubt my understanding, I suppose), but I still maintain that Nolan will not break from his design aesthetic (and overall guiding principle of realism) to feature such an outlandish vehicle.

Re: The Super Official BiM Upcoming Movie Updates and Discussion Thread

I have to admit, he kind of looks like he's wearing Cinderella's glass shoes, but it looks ok. Also, I will point out that this particular suit is for stunts, so there could be a slight difference, idk.

I like. Reminds me a little of Kick Ass, in the sense that it looks fairly homemade.

Anyway, I just found out that the guy who made Dead Snow is going to make a film called "Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters".

Also, I just heard that the next Wolverine movie is gonna be directed by Darren Aronofsky (Requiem for a Dream, The Wrestler, Black Swan). And it's the whole Japan saga thing.

Oh my stars. I would love to actually see a good Wolverine movie. Fingers crossed.

Re: The Super Official BiM Upcoming Movie Updates and Discussion Thread

Well, I just realized that I know a lot of movies coming out in the next few years!! So I thought I'd tell you. I'll also put the most specific date I have next to it. No specific order:

Pirates of the Caribbean: On stranger tides. [May 20th]
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2. [June]
Cars 2. [2011]
Spawn 2. [2011]
Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon. [July 1st]
Batman: Dark Knight Rising. [2011]
Daredevil remake. [2011]
Tron 2. [2012] Only rumored.
Indiana Jones 5. [2012] Only rumored.
Jurrassic Park 4. [2012]
Halo. [2012]
Independence Day 2. [2012]
Men in Black 3. [2011]
Venom. [2011]
I, Robot 2. [2012]
I Am Legend(prequel). [2013]
Happy Feet 2. [November]
The Mighty Thor. [really soon]
Captain America. [really soon]
Rango. [really soon]
Cowboys and Aliens. [2011]

Godzilla. [2011]

I found these scattered across the internet. You can look up "new movies for 2011" on YouTube, and I'm sure you'll find them even when some of them aren't for 2011. And I'm sure there are more that I saw, I just can't remember right now.

PS. I am NOT positive all these are really coming out the year I said, or if they're coming out at all. I'm about 75% sure, though.

Ok, someone moved my topic into this topic. The post above me was originally a topic, but now it's here? Oh well, that's fine I guess.
