I like Topitmonkeydog's idea. As I said before, I'd love to do editing for a project as I will be going to college soon and not really be able to animate.
As far as editing goes I think I will be fine. I enjoy editing films but I don't get much of a chance because my brickfilming skills / my friends' acting is not that great, so I would enjoy a sort of challenge.
What I really need is people who will be able to contribute clips to the montage, but I will not be starting that until the current contest has passed. If the idea is shot down afterwards, I will attempt to seek out people who would like to contribute sort of "under the table," meaning that it would be less of a BiM thing and more of just a brickfilmer collaboration. And if I can't find anyone to do that, I''ll just make the film myself.
THank you for your support, Backyard Legoes.
A rather large bump.
So, I was fiddling around the internet when I stumbled on a website called "gives me hope." It's basically a series of user-submitted vignettes of little things that people do for no particular reason besides being nice and helping people out. So, I was like, this could totally be a brickfilm. Everybody chooses a touching story and brickfilms it into a short less than twenty seconds, and then someone edits it together with some inspirational music.(more: link 1, link 2) I feel if we did this properly it would be very heartwarming and touching.
Of course we would have to pick stories that function without a backstory in order to be told in a matter of a few seconds without being unclear, or adapt existing stories.
here are a few examples:

In addition to this, there could be some scenes of people hugging (do I smell an animation challenge or what) or giving each other flowers and just generally nice stuff.IDK. A LEGO TRIBUTE TO HUMAN COMPASSION AND KINDNESS. Anyone think this is a good idea?

Okay, all the major contests are closed at the moment, so I thought I'd toss this up again. Now that I am back into brick filming, I am truly serious about this idea, so all I need is people willing to participate. I have an example: if you can do something like my Christmas film All You Need, but like thirty seconds shorter, that would be marvelous. I hope you will consider approving my idea, I am completely willing to follow through with this.
So are these real stories or just made up ones?
They don't have to be real. The ones on the links I provided are real though.
