Topic: [CASTING CALL] Back to the Lab-Series

Back to the Lab is a comedy/sci fi series of short brickfilms that is a continuation of my first ever LEGO film that I released on YouTube. It focuses on the adventures of a “mad scientist” “Doc”, and his friend Bob Bryant. I have 3 short films planned, and I am guessing I will come up with a couple of more.

PARTS

Doc: Just your normal mad scientist. A bit over dramatic at times, “Doc” loves to invent various gadgets in his lab, situated at the heart of a major city. Some work, most don’t. (Take his attempt at a human slingshot for example.) Doc likes to brag that he has “A BA, a PhD, and ADHD.”

Part taken by: Me. (I will voice my character after hearing “Bob”, to try and play off of him.)

Bob Bryant: Bob is a 17 year old teenager, and one of Doc’s best, and only friends. Slightly reluctant to help with most projects, due to the high rate of failure, (Was electrocuted when attempting to help Doc with his transporter.)  although he relents to helping him most of the time. The one thing that Bob doesn’t seem to mind though, is using explosives.

Voice type: Older teenager, however his voice cracks a bit when he gets excited. (Although that isn't a requirment to get the part, just if it is possible.) Alot of energy, with a bit of Marty Mcfly thrown in as well.

Test lines: “Hold on Doc, are you sure this thing is safe for human consumption?”

               "This had better be important, I just drove through rush hour traffic to get here."

I'll try out for Bob, although i might sound a bit old. Can i try out for Doc, just as an experiment?

EDIT: Oh, and if it helps. I'm a massive BTTF fan myself. I know your series aren't directly BTTF, but it certainly seems inspired mini/wink

Mighty Wanderer, Might as well audition if you want to, you may get the part. mini/smile You say you sound young? I may have a short other part for you as well.

GGSSStudios, By all means! Actually, the first short is a quick spoof of Back to the Future. I came up with the characters BEFORE I watched the trilogy, and since it seems to fit, I just kind of morphed it into a Back to the Future type series.

Finished the animating for the first episode, so all I need is the voices.

Do you mind if I sort of "personalize" Bob's test lines? They just don't really sound like me. (I mean not saying exactly the same words).
