Bricks All Night

I came to build, build, build, build Taken By me
Oh no my tower just got killed, killed, killed, killed
Oh well my bucket just got spilled, spilled, spilled, spilled
Yea with my fingers I am skilled, skilled, skilled, skilled
Yea, Yea, Cause I build on and on and on
Yea I build on and on and on, yea

CHORUS
I throw my bricks up in the air sometimes
sayin' ay-yo build my Le-go
Got my new Star Wars set make Jedi's fight
Sayin' ay-yo go Kit Fis-to
Yea I'm goin build it up
I'm goin build it right
I'm goin build it now
With my Bricks all night
Yea I'll make it once
I will make it twice
I will build it up
With my bricks all night

LINE 2
I came to take, take, take, take
All of the pictures I can make, make, make, make
Until my hands will start to ache, ache, ache, ache
Hope that my sets will never brake, brake , brake, brake
Yea, Yea, Cause I build on and on and on
Yea I build on and on and on, yea

CHORUS

I'm wanna have them all right
I'm gonna film the Spongebob Partay
You know I want them all night
I'm gonna buy the LEGO Friends Cafe

Re: Another Community Project: Bricks All Night (A Dynamite Parody)

Do you mind adding a link for those of us who don't know the tune?
Thanks!

(I'll pick a line based on the tune, of course, you may regret letting me in after you hear me try to sing. mini/tongue )

Re: Another Community Project: Bricks All Night (A Dynamite Parody)

no my version I had. It has a different beginning

Re: Another Community Project: Bricks All Night (A Dynamite Parody)

So, is this to the tune of Monty Python's "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life"?  Nvm.  It's dynamite correct?

(Peeps out from under rock to click the link, watches five seconds of the video, closes the window, then sneaks back inside house under the rock.)

I was hoping that it wouldn't be that type of song, but I was wrong.
So nope, I won't be able to be in this. For one, I really, really, really can't stand that kind of music,
and second, I'm an Independent Baptist and don't/can't/won't listen to that anyway.

So, good luck on it....without me. mini/sad

yes

Re: Another Community Project: Bricks All Night (A Dynamite Parody)

WOAH WOAH WOAH STOP RIGHT THERE WHAT EXACTLY DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING IN THIS TOPIC

Quote from the Boom De Ah Dah thread:

I wrote:

To by honest I'd rather not have another music video for a community project (at least not until there's been a community project that isn't a music video).

There's no need to rush straight into it. This project isn't even out yet! Wait until someone comes up with a really good idea (a really good idea which hasn't been done before) and we'll take it from there. I can understand why you'd want to jump straight into another, but let's not sacrifice the quality of the project for it, okay?

Not only that, but this is your own half-baked idea which no one seconded. That's not how successful community projects come about, no one will participate if they don't like the idea. Boom De Ah Dah came about as a result of two weeks of brainstorming and discussion (and the actual idea was first put forward several years ago, even before Bricks In Motion was called Bricks In Motion).

I took the helm of Boom De Ah Dah because I've been here a long time, I'm a moderator and people respect me. They knew that the project was in (relatively) safe hands, and were safe in the knowledge that their work would come out presented well in the end (and that it would, indeed come out at all). Even the fact that I took the time to format the first post with bolds, italics, large text etc. to make it easy to read no doubt contributed a little. People aren't going to trust someone who's barely been here a month, clearly assembled their initial post as quickly as they could and still doesn't know how to use the Edit button instead of double posting to pull something like this off.

This is demonstrated in part by your organisational skills. You pulled this idea that you alone wanted to follow out of the air and took the most obvious part of Boom De Ah Dah to work with and expected it to flourish, with so many things left unaddressed. Where's the music going to come from? What's going to happen during the intro/outro part of the song? The fact that you've gained only one supporter and ncredibly already managed to offend a more conservative member of the site shows us again that you haven't thought this through.

It's okay to be eager. It's good to be pro-active. But you can't expect a project like this to go anywhere if you don't plan it out beforehand.

Oh, and it's an awful, awful song.

I'll close this. There's nothing else to say.
If you do want to follow this up, you can send me a PM.
