Topic: STAR TREK: The Lego Series

Hey peeps!

Casting Call here --> http://www.bricksinmotion.com/forums/to … go-series/

So I'm back with a project that I've been looking to make for almost a year now. Due to College and life I'm still only in Pre-Production process but in April I am going to start shooting footage for Episode 1.

STAR TREK: The Lego Series are going to be based on The Original Star Trek series since they are no doubt my favorite. All of the main original series characters are to return (maybe even the villains like Khan will be written into an episode or two). Don't expect the series to be too serious, I believe it's going to be a lot of fun even for those who aren't Trekkies mini/lol

*I've also decided that to give that real TOS experience I shall use the original soundtrack. Of course the series are going to be non-commercial but the good thing is that Paramount/CBS-viacom oficially allows fans to produce non-profit fan-productions (e.g. STAR TREK: Phase II series).

Episode list:

1. "Blind date" - Captain Kirk led by his wingman Doctor McCoy has a blind date in Argilus, a planet which is famous for its gorgeous women...

written by Larry Simmons

2."Survival of the Fittest" - As the USS Enterprise passes through a mysterious planet Captain Kirk gets abducted by an unidentified force...

written by Larry Simmons

*If you have some episode ideas or maybe you'd like to write a screenplay for an episode or more feel free to reply/contact me.

**I am also looking for voice actors who wanna have fun voicing the iconic TOS characters so feel free to audition.

I love the idea. Star Trek is one of my all time favorite shows. I was actually going to plan on making something too, but never got around to doing it. One thing I would be doing differently, if I was, would be to actually make it more serious than how you proclaimed. I'd love to see the minifigures (and sets) you will be using for this, especially Spock.

One major task you must take is to accomplish the Vulcan greeting in LEGO.

Re: STAR TREK: The Lego Series

Oh man yeah the Vulcan greeting is going to be tough! mini/bigsmile I might make some serious episodes too (maybe something like "Corbomite Maneuver" since it's one of my favorite episodes mini/smile right now I just want to finally get started because as I said it's been almost a year of thinking "How to" and other stuff I am so excited to finally begin making this mini/smile

Re: STAR TREK: The Lego Series

I'll audition. And I could co-write an episode.

Re: STAR TREK: The Lego Series

Just ordered a bunch of lego pieces with monitors and all kinds of circuits painted on them. I'm going to try to re-create Gigerbrick's main bridge version (from "Star Trek in Lego" video on youtube.) I might as well change a few things though.

*To all who'd like to write an episode.

It's really cool that you want to participate in STAR TREK: TLS production, thank you! However I can't promise you that I will create the episode though, due to time (I simply don't have it). These series will have a new episode only every few months and no sooner mini/sad . Oh and please keep the running time from 4 to 8 minutes if possible mini/smile (most of you probably know that 1 page of screenplay usually counts for 1 minute of running time)

Re: STAR TREK: The Lego Series

i would've loved to audition for a scotty, stupid pre-purburty voice mini/confused

good luck with it still. Also, kreo is releasing some star trek sets, so maybe you could use some for certain scenes perhaps.

The Kreo sets will only be available in 2013 May mini/sad I'll just have to adapt the original series sets to lego. Might take some time but I wanna do it right (that's what she said haha). mini/bigsmile

Awesome! Can't wait to see how it ends up. Good luck!

Re: STAR TREK: The Lego Series

Thanks Repelling Spider! And guys, I've also released an intro sequence for these series. Watch it here:

Re: STAR TREK: The Lego Series

Nice job on the intro! It has an older 70s feel to it which I like. I'd suggest doing something different between each section of text than the enterprise over and over again. Even perhaps swapping which direction it comes from, just so its not as redundant. Otherwise, great job! mini/smile

Re: STAR TREK: The Lego Series

I'll keep that in mind! Thanks mini/smile
