Topic: Brickception (only Idea)

I am doing a film called Brickception for a contest. It is going to be about two experts,  Dominick Cobbs, and Eames, and the new girl Ariadne are going into layers of dreams while avoiding the battle with the shade of their dead loved ones and situations in their lifes put to the extreme along with the fact that they are unable to leave the dream and are stuck in an eternal sleep where they meet a girl who has been stuck in her dream world for a long time fighting to not to succumb to the dream and be doomed. Based on the hit movie.

And is originality being judged in this contest?  My suggestion would be to use original characters and go on a tangent.

Its supposed to be what happened inbetween. What was held back. And it shows you who they are (since the movie didnt give much background info except on Cobbs) and each dream is supposed to be from their life and extremely bad situations (eg. In real life Ariadne walking to the movies and a tremor happens but instead of a tremor, a horrific earthquake breaks apart the ground and people start falling in the chasms.)

I kinda feel like there's nowhere to go with the "Inception" film.  Maybe if the story was about the new characters maybe, just maybe then it could be actually exciting. Basically we already know everything we want to know about Cobbs I mean what kind of character expansion could actually work for this guy? And him battling his dead wife, that's kind of cliche cause we already saw it in the movie mini/rolleyes  No offense but when you make a film based on a live-action film at least try to make it in different angle, introduce new characters and come up with original plot for it, because the plot that you wrote is the same the movie had.

I am expanding on Ariadne and Eames and their life and I will be introducing a new character and a new shade of Ariadne's Best friend who died in a Mass-murder, along with eames father who died when he was very young by drowning on a boat that Him and his dad were on that capsized and killled him. Mal wont come in that often.
