Topic: Light Flickering problems?

I do not use natural light, or bedroom lights. I use a strong ikea table lamp and a floor lamp. I was filming during the darkest hours of the day/night.

I'm have been getting some flickering problems recently...I haven't had this problem since 2 years ago mini/eek

Before i had a computer between me and set all the time, then I moved to a new table, which has me directly standing in front of the set, though behind the lamps still, could it be my reflection or is it me deflecting light onto the set? Any ideas?

Re: Light Flickering problems?

Are you wearing dark cloths when you film? This can lessen the reflection of light on to your set. If you want more tips, Hazzat has a tutorial on lighting for Brickfilming. mini/smile

I'm working on getting my studio back up and running, so stay posted...

Re: Light Flickering problems?

Also make sure all your camera's controls are on manual

Re: Light Flickering problems?

Though all of these things are good. You may still have a a tiny bit of flicker. What I do Is edit it out in Vegas or Pinnacle by bumping the gain up or down for that specific clip. You can do this in GIMP as well, but it takes a bit longer.

Re: Light Flickering problems?

Try putting tracing paper over the lights. It will spread the light evenly. Also it will lower the light level which can cause light flicker.
