Topic: A Quest for a Cradle

Hi guys. I'm having trouble keeping my camera still, even with my custom cradle. My camera, I think, is the same size and shape of the old 4000. So if anyone has suggestions on how to make a fool-proof cradle, it'd appreciated.
Thanks a mil,
JTP

It looks like your cradle doesn't compensate for up and down motions. If hit hard enough I'm pretty sure it will move left and right too. I have seen some cradles that use technic elements to prevent movement. Utilize these to build a better cradle and limit your movement.

Is the base on this camera permanent? Perhaps you could remove it and build a smaller cradle just to encompass the camera.

Good luck.

Re: A Quest for a Cradle

It looks like it needs a row of bricks in front of and behind the base to keep it in place.
The top thing isn't really neccesary.  All you need to do is enclose the base.

If you want some left-and-right panning movement; put a few plates down on the baseplate and put a round 1x1 stud piece between the plates and put the base of your cradle on top of the stud.
