Hey people,
I'm new and i haven't done any brick films....
but any ways i need some help on brain storming. I was thinking about doing a documentary on ww2 or something (btw i luv ww2)The reason why i needed help so fast is because there is a film festival at my school and needs to be turned in on feb 20. so i got winter break and I WILL need time to make this.....
so any one got any tips on brainstorming and maybe scripting 
First tip: Practice your animation and technique before going into a big film.
Second tip: if this is a ww2 film,watch some ww2 documentaries and videos first.

Your absolutely right cooldynamite.
Third tip: make sure you actually have some good frame capture and editing software too.
4th tip: Have a manual camera (Wow. This is turning into to a beginner's guide to brickfilms.)
But you could also do a comedy.
There is also a thread on here where people dropped scripts and you can pick them up.

What aspect of WW2 would you be looking to do? As in soldiers, civillians, PoW's etc. If you are wanting to do soldiers I suggest finding/researching a certain battle and reconstructing it.
I just think you should start with something simple, like a short 30 second slapstick kinda film.
Agreed. You can always package them together as a set of vignettes.

Comedy, people hitting each other, people falling over, basically exaggerated violence and behaviour, its funny.

Let your imagination fly. WW2 movies are not necessity to do like "history" shows it us. I think you can make some little battle in Middle East from just your imagination. Or you can make big battle, but then I recommend that you look some history documentaries, like some big battle in Berlin/Germany or some great battle called D-Day The Landing of Normandy. There you go.

do what you like
if your intersted in history go for WWII but I would suggest that you don't do something so...BIG yet
keep it small, all of my animations are under 2 minuets (a fact that I would really like to change) but I have learned a lot from doing them.
