I'm guessing it will. It did during THAC 8.

Sorry about this, folks. I did want to have a backup plan but Cheshire said not to bother.
One time David West was 2.5 hours late on the contest due to a power outage.
I'm waiting two more minutes, then i'm leaving 
Ok. 5 more minutes and I'm going to bed. Let's hope that it's out by the time I wake up. Not impressed.

I got up at the time I usually do, an hour after THAC was sposed to start. What's going on?
Its not directly at Max, but a lot of people seem to be like this..
All I said is that there should have been a backup option. I'm fine that its late - I'm waiting comfortably, and I'm sure there is a perfectly reasonable explanation - but after over 4 late THAC's you'd think there would be a failsafe or something other than just crossing fingers and hoping it all works. I'm not blaming Chesire for being late, and yelling abuse at him would achieve nothing; I'm just saying that BIM needs a backup in the future (another judge has all the information ready to post, or someone has Chesire's number, or the 'THAC 9 STARTS NOW' thread has been posted in advance - but is hidden and just needs someone to press a button to make it public)
This contest desperately needs just more than one person organising, whom, if there is any kind of problem, has absolutely no contact with the outside world. Professional contests always have a team of people running it, with plenty of people who can easily step in if there is a problem. I know this isnt a professional contest - but....after over four late THAC's I cant believe we are still here again with almost EXACTLY THE SAME PROBLEM!
I'm not annoyed its late. I'm annoyed that its been consistently late when there are clearly very simple ways of solving this which should have been introduced since THAC1, or at least since THAC3...

Cheshire was right on time with THAC 7. I asked him if he wanted a backup option but he said no, so I figured I'd better give him the benefit of a doubt. I think I'll change the policy in the future so that there is always a backup.
On a sidenote, THAC 9 will go on as scheduled, no later than 2 hours late. We're setting up a backup plan if Cheshire doesn't show up rather soon.
