Hello,
I am looking for a link or a set of instructions to make a Lego dog... Preferable a terrier looking one which is remotely good to animate with, i.e. a moving head.

Lego set 5771 has a nice design exactly what you're looking for. It is made from 8 pieces-all small and easily attainable. You can change a few things to make it your own-but it is a good start.
