Re: Lego Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2

The line of events that happened were very similar to FancyPants' film.  And the set looked almost side by side a like.  Other than that I liked the force animation and lightsaber effects a lot and it make the animation really enjoyable to watch.

EDIT:

Also from the link you posted above, what exactly does that prove?  That this person could make a more similar version of FP's animation than you?  I must say that even though you didn't make a Frame by Frame copy of the film like that YouTuber did I still think that you took several and maybe too many examples from the original video and put it into your film.

Re: Lego Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2

Dudes, stop trolling him. Fancypants didn't invent The Force Unleashed any more then Zach did.
All that matters is that it was a good video, amirite?

Re: Lego Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2

It was good technically, but I think that in the action scenes they didn't move naturally, especially when he fights the storm troopers: he stays still and moves only his hands a bit. The effects were well done, though, when he electrocutes (I have no idea of what other term I should use) the troopers it doesn't really makes much sense to me that he only kills one at time while "panning". Force lighting sounds more like more than one at once, because the electricity rays spread (it looks like they do, at least). For the rest, it was a well done video, though while watching it I was thinking the whole time "This is Fancypants, look at that: it's an exact copy. Wait no, it's not, there's force lighting, that changes everything. No it doesn't. It's like fancypants' video anyway". And, well, that was probably the reason of why I didn't really enjoyed it as much as it could if it was more original. 3/5

I realize both your video and Fancypants's draw some (loose) inspiration from the games, but the similarities to FP's video here are too strong to be explained away by that. The progression of events is largely the same until the end, and the set design is similar as well.

OK, if you think "my" video is similar, then think again!

At least he credited Fancypants mini/confused

Haha, this is like saying that Hawk the Slayer cannot be a ripoff of Star Wars because Battle Beyond the Stars is just slightly more blatant about it.

How about we all just let it go and say this is just another Fancypants-inspired-TFU clip.

I don't know if FreeRein is a spambot, but in a serious conversation an unrelated video made me laugh.

He's not, he has films on the site.

Re: Lego Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2

Well I enjoyed it...

I don't see fancypants making a sequel.

Despite the lack of storyline, I can see the effort you put into it, and it was a trillion times better than anything I could achieve, so nice one.

Haha - Me - a spambot! You put the F back in LMAO!
Did you watch it - it was meant to help diffuse this thread a little as it's gettin a bit bullyish.
Sure the vids are very similiar but heck they are both better than I can make at present.
Having said that I dunno how I'd go with someone ripping mine off (not suggesting anyone has....) but at the end of the day it is Star Wars yeah?
It's like saying "Hey I did a Star Wars one - so did you - copy cat!"
Pretty sure if you searched You Tube you'd find a few more very similiar to them as well.... personally, I'm not that vindictive mini/smile

Re: Lego Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2

That's why I don't do Star Wars. mini/smile

I'm working on getting my studio back up and running, so stay posted...
