Get a Canon 60D. Great for brickfilming, films, and for normal photography. I would also suggest getting Dragon Stop Motion to go with it.
A lot of people use the canon T2I/550D or the T3I. the only differences is swiveling lcd screen. Check out the DSLR discussion in Software and Hardware for more info
