Topic: A "shorts" category

I have noticed that there are a lot of films that are only less than a minute long and really don't seem to fit in the "releases" category. my suggestion is that maby you make a "Shorts" category for the shorter films (less than a minute) this may reduce comments in the releases category like "this wasn't really a release." Just a suggestion. mini/eh

Re: A "shorts" category

You could just post it in the "WIPs & Tests" section.

but a short is not a WIP or a test
it made sense at the time...

Re: A "shorts" category

It still does, I like this idea.

Re: A "shorts" category

Yeah, this is a good idea. Releases could be divided up into two parts: Shorts and Trailers and Longer Films. I'm not sure about the Longer Films name, maybe someone else can come up with a better one.

I don't see why is this a problem.

If the film contains an entire narrative, whether it be a short story or a joke, it should belong in the Releases Forum, no matter how long it is. Adding a forum for shorts under a minute would just unnecessarily complicate things.

Anyway, most brickfilms are technically short films (yes, even the 30 minute ones), so having a Short Short Films category is really redundant.
