Topic: Halloween Night Massacre (Script)

Hey guys, i'm currently working on a new video (probably going to take a brake when BRAWL starts) called Halloween Night Massacre. and heres the script so far:

Halloween Night Massacre

Fades in with ground view of a house, focus changes to a lone pumpkin out in the field. Kid walks up with a batman hat and cape on, excited at first. Switches angles (a left side view) And shows the kid standing with a confused looked. He bends down and pokes the pumpkin. No action, he hesitates then pokes it again, this time the pumpkin sprouts into an alien looking monster. Shows an angle of the kid falling back in surprise. Turns to a shot of the pumkin/alien monster, looking down at the camera (kids view). The monster pulls out an axe, still in the shot from kids view, then strikes at the camera, and scene ends. Title shows (Halloween Night Massacre) with creepy music playing.

This video is going to be my first horror brickfilm and its not going to start for awhile, it will start once i get a little better at animating. i want to make my first one a good one mini/smile tell me what you think/what i should change.

thanks you guys (and Girls)

Re: Halloween Night Massacre (Script)

Okay.

First of all, my reputation on this site is associated with horror. So you're in good hands listening to me.

Now is that the entire thing you plan on doing?

If that's the entire planned thing...

I feel it's too rushed to be fairly honest.
Horror relies on suspense, timing, and just poking something and getting some cheap jump scare won't make your film any different then loads of little films on YouTube that label themselves 'horror brickfilms.'

If that's not the full thing, I feel it's a decent opening, but could be slower.

Re: Halloween Night Massacre (Script)

no, its not the whole thing, just the opening. and yeah, reading it a second time i noticed that its pretty fast. honestly, i have never actually done anything with horror brickfilms. i get what you're saying, maybe you could do a rough edit of how you would do this scene? thanks for the help! mini/smile

I'm feeling it again!

Re: Halloween Night Massacre (Script)

would it be better to have him poke the pumpkin a number of times and nothing happens, he then leaves, the camera walks with him, in the back ground the pumpkin moves and he turns to see it gone. it then attacks him...
maybe, but don't take any advice from me.

Here's why, it was awhile ago but this is my FAILED horror attempt.

so don't take my advice

Re: Halloween Night Massacre (Script)

Now I can't really do a rough edit of how i'd do the scene unless I know the basic plot MrLegoProductions. So if you want you can PM me the basic plot and I can try and work an opening sequence around that.

Here's some of my horror work:
