Uhhhhh....I greatly dislike American Idol...

American Idol is an awful show, sorry.
It does not deserve to exist.
American Idol is an awful show, sorry.
That is simply your opinion, sir.
I'm not that big of a fan for AI. Sure, it has produced some iconic singers (Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Jordan Sparks, etc.), but I just don't really care for it. Though my opinion for shows of the like are the same way (Especially those English talent shows that get on my nerves...).
The last time I watched American Idol was in 2007.
And I am continuing my diet of crappy shows like this. Because A) It is annoying and exaggerated, filled with proud freaks and obsolete singer/judge people who can't sing anymore. And B) The show just contributes to the expulsion of mediocre singers who rot the music industry into a steaming pile of disappointment and party-song lyrics.

So you criticize my opinion then agree with it?
I like reality talent shows like this. I like them because they are so trashy, stupid, and apocalyptic-ally bad that its kinda entertaining. I enjoy 'high culture' too (though I really think such a term should not exist), but sometimes it good to have a cheap laugh every Saturday Night. I dont care where the people go after the show has ended, but I get behind these cheesy puppets as they are exploited before our very eyes. I embrace the mindless sheep within me, and just let the show entertain me - be it the right reasons, or the wrong reasons.
Plus, there are some moments of genuine talent. If you just YouTube clips and skip all the interviews and promos, ignore all the behind-the-scenes stuff and just watch some of the performances by themselves then you might see this. Hardly ever does a person succeed in the real world, but sometimes there are moments of shock as you see a person sing/perform note-perfect, contort their bodies in ways the mainstream public has not seen before, or just....WTF.
For me, its the TV Show equivalent of S&M (dont google it) - it hurts you, yet you enjoy it so much. Actually, the entire term 'guilty pleasure' can be compared to this practice...
Casey Abrams was the best contestant ever on the history of the show, but America is so stupid that they didn't vote for him. Also, Haley Reinheart was better than Lauren and Scotty combined. America is stupid and does not know talent.

America may not know talent, but America sure has got talent!
^this is true
I got so pissed when Casey didn't get enough votes to stay on. He was clearly better than all of the other shiatsu singers there.

I agree. I really wanted it to come between Casey and Jacob. I was cool with either of them winning
I have never watched the American Idol television program before and I don't think I will tune into the broadcast of its content in the futures.
America is stupid and does not know talent.
England is the same....
Somebody should make a parody of Scotty's 'I Love You This Big'. It should be titled 'mod edit: no thanks'
LOCK LOCK LOCK LOCK LO--
Wait, that guy from Star Trek is on American Idol? Cool!
"Beam me up, Scotty!"
I enjoy watching Korean Idol.
