3 ways to speed up premiere elements

Tell me if this helps! mini/smile

Using a short cut. What's this? No welcome screen? You mean you can just skip to the program? That's awesome!

Re: Get rid of adobe premiere elements welcome screen! Faster start up!

Though i haven't read your tut, i think the splash screen isn't for show it's there telling you the progress of the startup, loading plugins and mediacore etc. How many seconds faster does this make it load?

Re: Get rid of adobe premiere elements welcome screen! Faster start up!

1) how many seconds faster does it make premiere load up?
2) by welcome screen do you mean the splash screen, the screen lists all your recent projects, or the screen which has tips, links to online stuff and also your recent projects

Re: Get rid of adobe premiere elements welcome screen! Faster start up!

BTW i think the link is broken. can't open and can't save as.

Re: Get rid of adobe premiere elements welcome screen! Faster start up!

So this is what I would do.

1.) Open Premiere the usual way with the Welcome Screen.
2.) Make a new project, and save in Adobe Premiere Elements folder.
3.) Go to the Adobe Premiere Elements folder and find the project.
4.) Create a desktop shortcut from the file and call it Adobe Premiere Elements 9 or whatever you want it to be.
5.) When you work on a new project always use Save As first then you can use the regular Save button.

BTW what version of Windows 7 is that?

NO! The PDF shows you how to make a shortcut to the program. As for the virsion of Win7, IT'S THE SAME AS ANY OTHER! I just put a classic theme on it(built in), impacts on speed.
