Topic: Who wants to collaborate on a film with me?

I haven't made a stop-motion film in years, but some of these films make me long for the good old days.  Unfortunately, my LEGO collection is all packed away so it would be hard to animate.

But I can write,  storyboard, or do other things.  I don't really have time to do much more than maybe write a shooting script because of time commitments.  But I'd love to get back in the game!

Primarily I'd like to stick to contest winners and the best Bricks In Motion has to offer, but anyone is welcome.  Heck, I'll produce several films!  There is a lot of talent out there.

This man is legit.

I would collaborate on a film with you. I am not the best BiM has to offer, but first come first serve?

Damn the IPad and insomnia.

Anyway, I thought we could do a small, good team.  Maybe eventually we could enter the TOY contest but why not whip something out really quick?  A simple idea well executed.   Maybe one person to write a script, one person to animate, do any special effects or post-shooting stuff and edit it, and one person to do all the sound.   That's a three man team, plus any voice work we need.

Am I a part of this?

Re: Who wants to collaborate on a film with me?

I would probably be able to animate.  I have a small project I started that's in the works but I could easily put it aside to do this.

I'm also releasing a new test video today or tomorrow (which should be pretty epic) so if you want to see an example of my current animation capabilities, check it out when it's released.

I most-likely wouldn't be able to edit as my editing software refuses to work although there is a small chance it may be fixed this week.

I have plenty of lego so I could probably build any set you need.

Oops!  I have one caveat... you must be at least 18 in order to collaborate.  Sorry!  Madbrick, I like your animation tests.  Clever stuff there.  Also, the morphing animation in "the magic 1x2 brick" is cleverly done.

Re: Who wants to collaborate on a film with me?

18 or over? Well, I can see your point, however that rules out most of the site, and the people here who are over 18 are usually busy with college and stuff, and therefore can't commit to these things.

Obviously it's your choice, but if you reconsider then I'd love to help with sound design and maybe scripting!

I'll be back animating soon! Exams and computer faults are keeping me away </3

Never mind then for me too.

Look at the 2010 census, and the most common ages. It's thirteen through fifteen. Although I understand where you're coming from, eighteen seems a bit high.

Re: Who wants to collaborate on a film with me?

I know, it sucks, bit 18 in America is the legal age limit, which means down the road if we want to do something fun like submit a film to a film festival, the paperwork is much easier.   Otherwise your parents have to agree to just about everyhing we do together.

I don't mind at all a 17, 13, or even 10 year old helping with the film, like providing some sound effects or a voice over, but I think the editor/director (basically the person who's name is on the film as director) should be over 18.    Make sense?

Yes, and like I said I saw where you were coming from.

I could probably animate. I make a new video every week anyway. Just the script has to be a little short. If you want to work together PM me.

I would definitely script. I am an excellent screenwriter.

Re: Who wants to collaborate on a film with me?

On second thought, I think I may pass on this.  If you wanted to do just a quick 1 or 2 minute film (not for a contest) then I'd be fine, but as I'm not 18 I could probably only help animate shorter films, not huge entries to out-of-country contests.

Make Vecna's Lens: Part 2.

Re: Who wants to collaborate on a film with me?

Totally agree with KG, Jason.

Re: Who wants to collaborate on a film with me?

I'd be interested in making an attempt at voice-acting, if you ever need it.

Re: Who wants to collaborate on a film with me?

Jason, heres my recent test video to show you my animation abilities.

Re: Who wants to collaborate on a film with me?

Ok, I have a short story, which I can turn into a shooting script.  Nit much to it, just two guys walking down an alley who get jumped by a minster.  I'll get the story in shooting format over the next few days.

Sets needed:  A brick alleyway, with some rooftops or at least rooftop facades.
Two male characters kind of rough looking tough guys
A werewolf
A black cargo van, windowless
3 more guys, military looking, armed with crossbows and stakes

That's about it.

Is there a good place to upload a script to?  It's only about 5 pages, mostly dialog.

We also need 2 main voice actors and a third voice actor for a few lines.  All male, all adult, sorry,  (if you can do an adults voice that's fine too).

I'm lifting the age restriction if you want to give it a shot.  mini/smile
