Most Dutch movies suck, but this is a great movie.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

I can understand why you would hate "At World's End" but Dead Man's Chest?  I thought that was awesome.
Anyway, a lot of people say it's bad but I can't bring myself to agree with them. mini/frustrated

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Why did you create a new thread for movies over three years old? Seriously, this was only seven topics down.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

I thought it was alright. I liked the action and the humourous quality, I also wonder why people are harsh when they review it.

I can understand if you had some strong points in the topic post, or if it's a controversial film, but really this kind of thing doesn't need much of a thread.

Welcome to brickfilms, make sure to check out the FAQ and stuff.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

IMO, the plot does not compare at all to the first one.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Dead Man's Chest would have been good if there was a decent follow-up to it. There wasn't.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Personally, I really, really disliked Dead Man's Chest. At World's End, while no where near the quality of the first, was a fairly adequate film (though not one I'd want to watch over and over). It had the misfortune of having to be a direct sequel to DMC.

Pirates of the Caribbean is one of those trilogies that would have been much better off not being a trilogy in the first place.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

The Crow

This is my kind of Cinéma, I have a word for this flm, Gothic-noir.
Some scenes were cliché and kinda unbelieveble what a person would do in that kind of situation, but that isn't the point of this film. It has this really great dark look and atmosphere that guys like me love to watch. brandon Lee has a risky kinda character as the Crow, but work in the end for me, he didn't go for the easily heavy voice, but could have been a bit more badass.
I'd recommend this movie, but DEFINATLY not the sequels, keep this one fresh in your mind.

Mickey's Christmas Carol

Wow, the animation was amazing. I loved the animation so much.
The gags were pretty hilarious too.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

I saw "A Christmas Carol" a few weeks back. While the films cinematography was amazing, and its loyalty to the book was stunning, the film didn't exactly convey the message the way the book did.

Overall: 3.5/5

March of The Penguins
That was hilarious.

Santa Claus is Comin' To Town

It must have been a difficult responsibility to make this film. I didn't know they had masking back in the day.

I liked this one:
