Steve had been laughed at and mocked all day. The police attempted to arrest him for public nudity. He had been down on his luck all day. This was the last time Steve wore his lucky yellow tux from Prom. The same prom that he took his Cousin to, who gave birth in the locker room. He still never questions why he considers it lucky, or he might "taint his good luck streak".
