Topic: Set Ideas

Ok so, I am thinking of making a short (or not so short) fight scene, and I am going to be testing running, masking and general fighting a few times each, and then I will be putting them together, and building up to the final thing. But, I'm wondering what I should do for the set. I suppose I should tell you my idea:

Ok, so there are 3 guys, outside a room, ready to go in and kill a loada people in there (I know, theres no story). Once they're ready, they blow open the door, and go in, an fight and shoot stuff etc y'know. So I am wondering what I should have for the set (bricks, colours schemes, general design). I want there to be a little outside bit where they start, then bust into the room and thentheres the out-break of chaos. So I'm wondering what I should have for the inside. I was thinking of pillars for cover (like Keshen's) but I am not sure.

Any ideas for the inside (what I should have in there) and colors, bricks and any other features I could have?

Cheers

LiP

Re: Set Ideas

Well, outside should be a dark or light grey, while the inside should be a earth toned colour, like tan. The inside design depends on weather you want it to be a house/office/warehouse/Santa's toilet. If a house, you should have couches, chairs, a TV, a cupboard and other things you find at home. If you want your minifigs to have cover, I suggest a few couches or a big chair. In a office, you would want a few desks, computers, cubicles and plants. Put a few doors to show some office rooms. A warehouse would have lots of wooden boxes, and wooden support stands too. There would be a large amount of space. try placing some machinery here and there, like a forklift. the inside walls would be a light or dark grey.

You can do anything, just have fun while doing it.

Re: Set Ideas

Although I hate mega bloks, if it's for walls and stuff it should look OK.

Re: Set Ideas

Alright, so, I have made a basic building (just simple 3 walls atm, will make a 4th.) but Im now wondering what to put in it.

I was thinking some pillars and maybe a bunch of these:

Also I was thinking of buying this: (I wanted to get it anyway, it isnt specifically for this scene)

Is there any other suggestions that I should put in? (I have gone with the warehouse)

Re: Set Ideas

put  tires and Items inside the crates, and also put space police stickers on the tops of crates.

Re: Set Ideas

Crates, yes.

Also, I'd just make random trash sit around, just to make it look dirty.

Re: Set Ideas

And in one scene have the crates blow up and stuff flies out. mini/bigsmile

Re: Set Ideas

I'd have the walls be white, but very decorated w/ couches, pictures, and bookcases ect.

Re: Set Ideas

If its a warehouse mabye put a garage sort of thing next to the outside door and mabye have them blow down the garage door instead.Garage door as in where all the trucks unload at wearhouses
