Good news guys. My parents finally gave me their decision on whether or not to allow me to have a console. The decision was...YES!! They said I was mature enough to handle the addictive effects of a console, and we are going shopping for one at the after Christmas sales! We're trying to decide which console is better, the PS3 or the 360. So far we are leaning toward the PS3, because in my dad's research he's found that the PS3 is quieter, it can play movies(blue-ray), has a wider selection of games not rated M, has more memory, and is more reliable(no red ring of death for PS3
). But I wanted to ask you guy's opinions/knowledge on which one to get. Keep in mind we aren't going to be using either one's online gaming feature, my dad doesn't trust it.
PS3 if money is no matter.
Heh, 50 dollars more doesn't make a difference.

I've had both and I got rid of my Xbox as I didn't play it anymore. I play my PS3 every now and again. Personally I'd choose the PS3.
OK, that's 2 for PS3. ![]()

If you are looking for a better online experience, then the 360, PS3 for everything else.
Console gaming is dying for me. PC gaming is so refreshing after playing on the Xbox for so long. The community, while still having it's fair share of adolescent children, contains several more intellectual people than console servers. The keyboard and mouse provides more accurate movement and aim than a controller, where all of the buttons are mushed into one small remote.
That said, console gaming is superior in terms of being able to just sit on the couch, talk to some friends and play more casually overall. The xbox party system is also VERY sexy. (Although i'm aware of programs that can do similar for PC.)

Yeah, and the PC gaming is dying for me. I've used the mouse and keyboard for years, and I want something more fun and easy to push. And I won't miss the community since I never played online anyway.
XBOX.
Bearing in mind they fixed the RROD for Xbox so if you get it you must have broken a mirror

...I don't understand. What do you mean by that?
He means you must be unlucky.
So if I get what I'm unlucky? The broken RROD or the Xbox 360?
The RRoD. I've been chatting with a friend of mine with both consoles and he recommends the Xbox 360, because it has better games.

One problem, BrickLord wants
games not rated M
Most of the Xbox 360's triple A titles are rated M.

So then he doesn't want any good games?
Games don't have to be rated M to be good, Joseph.

I know, but most of the highly rated games are M, there are few good ones that are T, you may have to look for original Xbox games for that.
