No, it's easier to look it up.

With all due respect Noodle, I don't want you here. - Ratboy Productions

LOTS O HOBOS mini/XD If you need help with history, just look in you social studys text book that you probably have for school.

I do not care about your opinion, unless it has to do with it needing more ponies.

Also would this set fit?

Re: History Majors welcome, Need help with nnew film

Yep, those cars are from 'Indiana Jones' which is based in the 30's so I think they would work.

Don't be fooled, my avatar is a facade of conformity.

Re: History Majors welcome, Need help with nnew film

Also look at some mocs on Brothers Brick.

Re: History Majors welcome, Need help with nnew film

Ok, we all know here in BiM i'm da top History Major.

Ok Mutuceba, those sets would fit perfect.

Here's a suggestion of sets that would work:
Shanghai Chase (Indiana Jones)
Cafe Corner
Green Grocer
Fire Brigade (Defintly)
Emerald Knight Train
Town Plan

If you have atleast 2 of those sets, you could pull off a film on the era perfectly.

Info: Now during the Great Depression, which is a pretty general topic, there were barely ANY work, there
were alot of lines outside soup kitchens, those kind of places, alot of Hobo's existed, now they would have signs
in differant areas to represent garbage or the area, Like (ex. a fish would represent good garbage in this home/not true fact)
but you get the hobo picture. Over 60% of americans were poor in that period. MANY PEOPLE WERE ILL WITH DISEASE such as
turberculosis. The employment rate in 1929 was 3%. There were alot of shacks, and people living in dumps or wagons, or
somewhat an area like a dirty trailer park, homebuilding in the United States dropped 80%. Some foreign banking industrys
received over 300 applications a day from americans looking for a job.

Now if you have an individual city you want to feature, just contact me and I'll give you the low-down, all the info on what it was like during that period.

Sincerely,
Kinzcove

Re: History Majors welcome, Need help with nnew film

We started watching Chaplin's Modern Times today in class. I suggest you watch it for a good frame of reference. Its a satirical representation of life in the Industrial Revolution and Great Depression.

The Industrial Revolution was a long time before that.

Mutuceba, were you thinking of a specific location?

Re: History Majors welcome, Need help with nnew film

Re: History Majors welcome, Need help with nnew film

Ah, like Chicago?

Re: History Majors welcome, Need help with nnew film

BUMP!
Watch the film "The Grapes of Wrath".  (The black and white one.)

Re: History Majors welcome, Need help with nnew film

There needs to be people jumping off of buildings to their death.

And people leaving the city to get work at the farms.
