I'm thinking of entering but to submit the video during the contest are we going to have to email it or do we submit it a different way? If it is an email, do we have to wait until that day to know what the email address is?
Thanks for the help ahead of time.
I suppose Cheshire can announce whatever email address he wants to use ahead of time if he feels like it. Really though getting the email address should be a trivial matter; you'll have to read the announcement posted at the start time, and the email will be listed in that announcement.
You have to upload the video to a file hosting site; something like Mediafire, Brickshelf, or private web hosting would work. Sites like YouTube and Vimeo won't for the purpose of the email sent within the 24-hour period; I think this might be different from the last THAC or two but I'm not certain.
Incidentally, this contest may differ a little from past contests since we're not purely copy/pasting from preexisting material like the website. This is the first official BiM 24 hour contest, the others were run in unofficial capacities on both sites. It will be similar to past contests, and we're not deliberately introducing any major changes because the formula worked so well, but pay attention to the guidelines.
I thought VN was running THAC now.
Is he not running it because hes retired from brickfilming?
You're not gonna be huge sticklers for the rules, are you? Like if the mod is covered up for one frame, becuase I don't think anyone would bother take one frame in the middle of the scene before the contest started.
coolmy first thac i'm gonna enter
Agreed.
Since the chances of me winning a prize are less than the chances of being struck by lightning just after winning the lottery for the second time in a row, I'm not going to let them put me off.

I'm in, (I think)
So can we E-mail the downloadable video link to Cheshire and put it on our youtube account?
Yeah I think thats how you do it. The rules say you can upload the video to YouTube after the 24hrs have finished though.
Yeah, thats how it's been done for most THAC contests. So I assume that it will be the same for this.
But they're gonna officialy release the information when the contest starts so...
Well by January my animation will hopefully have improved.
I"M IN!!!
I'm in too.
Thanks for the help Smeagol.

The "rule" will be that it needs to be in every frame, but yeah if a character momentarily walks in front of the mod for a frame or two and the director doesn't realize this until after the deadline has passed, we won't disqualify on that basis, like what basically happened with "People Come in, Pizzas Come Out."
Last THAC was awesome, count me in!
Wow, for the first time since I started brickfilming, there's gonna be a THAC at a time when I am not on a vacation.
So... I gotta make this a good one. Haven't brickfilmed in a while, should be fun.
