Topic: CALLING ALL ANIMATORS: Collaboration For A Feature Length Movie

I think that BIM Should make a full length movie, not just by me, but all of us! Please reply if you want to film, edit compose, do voices or anything!

Re: CALLING ALL ANIMATORS: Collaboration For A Feature Length Movie

Hmmmmm...I'm really good at editing, so I could do that. I might also be able to voice, but I'm not sure.

But before any of this begins, what's it going to be about, and what are all the specifications?

Re: CALLING ALL ANIMATORS: Collaboration For A Feature Length Movie

.....I don't think this would work.

Re: CALLING ALL ANIMATORS: Collaboration For A Feature Length Movie

Yeah, you're most likely right Awesomeonomy. I remember that there were lots of projects like this that were doomed to failure too. But you never know, this MIGHT be different.

Re: CALLING ALL ANIMATORS: Collaboration For A Feature Length Movie

I think it's too difficult to get so many people together, get everyone to do a fair part and figure out what to do, and make it work, myself.

Re: CALLING ALL ANIMATORS: Collaboration For A Feature Length Movie

I think BiM should consist of members who make reasonably-lengthed, feasible films.

And there are way too many details that would have to be specified. I mean, it would be pretty hard to make it look realistic if all the technical aspects were different in each shot.

Re: CALLING ALL ANIMATORS: Collaboration For A Feature Length Movie

This idea has been thought of, and the general idea fails. Besides, we don't have the funds to produce something worth putting in a theater. If we wanted ANYONE to see it, we'd need money to make commercials. And since BiM is an INTERNATIONAL community, we'd need to air them worldwide.

"actuallly this involves spiderman too, not batman. but im also taking a new approach, more comedy, less action. i dont see to many movies like that with more comedy than action" --SteveStarfyTV on an Indiana Jones meets Star Wars idea.

Re: CALLING ALL ANIMATORS: Collaboration For A Feature Length Movie

They had an idea for this over at Brickfilms.com. If you can coax The Doctor (who was spearheading the project) over here, you might have a chance as they had already written a script and stuff.

He is over here.

It would have to be stuff like:

15 FPS
640x480

No HD: take people with the 4000 like fancypants

welp

Yes, the script (for LMP) is being edited a little by Doc, we will(should) have a casting call later this month. I dunno about the Doc coming over here with it, though. You guys could make your own and then we could have a contest between the two.

Ahem.

It exists, and it's not going very well. Not sure where Bricklord's getting his info from, because we will not have a casting call later this month, and the Doctor isn't doing any editing. For that matter, he hasn't done much of anything for several months. The head writer promised his rewrites exactly a month ago and hasn't delivered. Yeah, it's going about as well as I expected when I signed on.

Cue Badger's entry to defend the project...

Yeah, thats what they all say. Please, nothing like this will ever happen, unless some big company makes one professionaly, but definetely not a website based on amateur animating (with the exceptions of good) working together across the internet with no real budget but instead from their pocket money with different cameras, set-ups, softwares, platforms etc... the differences are endless, and it would look completely stupid if there is one awesome scene with a QCP9K and then someone with awful quality, lighting with flickering and bad animation.

Sorry.

Re: CALLING ALL ANIMATORS: Collaboration For A Feature Length Movie

Agreed.

Re: CALLING ALL ANIMATORS: Collaboration For A Feature Length Movie

By saying you never know, this might be different, I meant that it's a really long shot, and if it worked it would have to have a lot of dedication and good animation.

Re: CALLING ALL ANIMATORS: Collaboration For A Feature Length Movie

All i want to do is give a script, some one can film or edit, get a cast, and there its done! And i dont want it in theatres, i want it on this website!

LEGO have said that you can't make money out of their product. The White Stripes got away with it because they only used bricks and they could have been Mega-Bloks or even Best Lock for all we know.

Re: CALLING ALL ANIMATORS: Collaboration For A Feature Length Movie

I don't think a feature length brickfilm would be intresting to watch

Re: CALLING ALL ANIMATORS: Collaboration For A Feature Length Movie

Yeah, and plus, how are you going to think up a story that lasts over an hour?!
