Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

I recently tried out some yellow Sharpie (not my idea) on some fleshie stuff.  I used to be obsesses with fleshies, but now that I'm in brickfilming, yellow looks a lot better.  Here's a looksie:

I think that may be just the camera settings.

Looks useful, but I really don't see the big deal with mixing races. It's not the 50s!

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

OK I'm kinda new to this so please be gentle. Here are some pics of something I'm working on for my first 'real' film. I've done lots of test ( walking , running , etc.) but nothing worth showing. My original idea was for sort of a hardsuit (not too large). I would like about a half dozen of them built  before I start filming seriously. My problem is in the design. I built 2 the same thinking that would do, using the parts I had. I now see it would be better to have more of them so I want to nail down a design so I can order the parts I will need.
The first is my original - this is a nice size, but has limited range of motion in the legs.

This is the same with longer legs - also limited range, but I like these feet.

This one has bigger legs - much more mobility(hip, knee and ankle joints) but the legs seem chunky and make the whole thing rather tall.

Yes it has 2 different legs.

http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t124/blackdog100/CopyofDSCF5568.jpg
I think I prefer the black one.
The pilot.

Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

I like the third one better.

On a side note, I'd like to see a LEGO MEGAS XLR.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

I just got a Market Street, and I realized that a girl selling fruit isn't much of a Market, so I made my own stuff! I attempted to make it like a Bazaar of some sort. Reminds me of the Shuk (open marketplace) in Jerusalem.

I am guessing Mega Bloks Skull from one of the Pyrates sets ? (why do Mega Bloks insist on spelling everything wrong ?)
