Topic: [Casting Call] Young Voice Actor Needed (MAYBE)

Hey guys.  So I have an idea that I would like to try and pull off at the last minute for AniExer-size 2, and if I did I might need a voice actor to play one of the characters.  I say might because:

a) I might not even have to time to do this
b) I already have a voice actor in mind, but I'm not sure he can do it.

So bear in mind before you audition that this film may never happen, and your audition may be for nothing.  I just thought that in case I have time to film, and need a voice actor, that I should get a back-up.  So here are the character details:

Boy
Approximate Age: 7-10 years old
Description: Seems innocent and fragile on the surface, but there is something unnerving about the tone of his voice.

Test Line 1: "You shouldn't have done that."
Test Line 2: (Giggles/Laughs), "That would be funny." (gleefully)

I want you to do both test lines

Remember that this is supposed to be frightening, so bear that in mind when you think how the character should be voiced.  Also, good (or at least decent) recording quality is a must.

I don't know, I think your voice may be a bit too manly for this role mini/tongue

I'm kind of serious though, you can definitely try out, but I really would like a legimate 7-10 year old to play the role.  The younger kids always have a hard time getting roles in films because directors always want to have older characters, so this is an opportunity for them to prove their skills.

Manly? I find my voice quite high for my age, but, I sent the lines anyways. I guess being 15 and trying to be 7-10 might be a stretch though mini/tongue

I'm 14, but voice isn't broken... I could give it a shot.

Want an english or american accent? For some reason I can do an american accent as naturally as my normal english voice.

Not sure how real it sounds though. =-P

Hm. I might try, but being 15 means my voice is changing, I might not pull it off. However, I like to do voices to entertain myself, so I am used to pitching it higher. I might try.
