Mess around with the exposure settings and white balance.
Did you changed the resolution to a high one? Or did you leave it?

I just left it. And I can't use the software that came with it because I use a Mac!
what animation software do u use
Well your capture software needs to have camera settings so you can adjust focus, exposure, etc...
I'm sure you can run the software through Bootcamp or whatever it's called.
