dude, the best games out there are rated M. You're acting like one of those game haters, like Jack Thompson.

Says the guy with a rated M game as his avatar...

Yeah, so?

And I'm not a video game hater. I LOVE video games.

Let me reword it:
You're acting at this moment like a guy who hates m-rated games. Sorry.

Why does eveybody play the games I love? The Elder Scrolls ARE awesome. If you can't run IV, try Morrowind, its so awesome.

I've played Morrowind once, it was such a fun game and I want to try out Oblivion.

Re: The Video Game Discussion Topic!

BrickLord, if you have a sony console, anything by Naughty Dog is brilliant.

Depending on which playstation you own;
PS1: Crash Bandicoot series
PS2: Jak and Daxter series (Jak 2 is the best platformer ever)
or PS3: The Uncharted series (Not sure what these are rated in the US, probably M)

Hasn't stopped them yet.

Re: The Video Game Discussion Topic!

I got Scribblenauts today and I love it - I'm addicted. (I even changed my avatar for it.)

Anyone got some obscure nouns for me to put in it? (Oddly, it didn't have a caravan.)

My parents don't mind violence as much as blood/gore, so they might let me play M2.

Then what's the issue with Call of Duty or Halo? Oh, in the first Halo game I know you can turn the blood off. Maybe in the second one too.

YES, get something from Naughty Dog, they have made some of my favourite games of all time (Jak and Daxter and Uncharted: Drakes Fortune).
If your not allowed to get violent game though, you probably don't want Uncharted, but if you have a Sony PS2 console get Jak and Daxter or Jak 2 mini/smile

If you have a PS2/PS3, get one of the Ratchet and Clank games. It's rated T, I'm sure, and one of the best platform/shooters of all time.

Thanks guys. I don't have a console yet, but when I do, what's better, an Xbox 360 or a Sony PS3?

Let me reword it:

I don't hate rated M games, but it's just that I usually don't see the point of playing the one's that actually deserve that rating. All the stuff it's rated M for distract me from the actual game. Besides, I can't(not allowed) play rated M games until I'm old enough(Halo excepted).
To the rest of you:
Yeah, I've played a lot of Naughty Dog games(at my friends house), and I've liked/loved every single one. The only thing about Jak and Daxter is how the girls dress most of the time, though in the first one she doesn't appear too often. As for Halo, there probably won't be a problem.

I've decided that I'm going to become immune to several select, non-lethal poisons, then put them in my snacks to discourage sneaky snack snatchers. -Littlebrick

It really depends on a few of factors.
1. Do you have friends playing on any of them? If so you might want the same console you you can play against them over their various networks.
2. Which games do you want to play more? There are lots of games out for both consoles, and depending on what kind of gamer you are, you may want to go for one console or the other.
3. Do you NEED a blu ray player?
4. How much do you want to spend?

It mostly comes down to personal preference. I highly recommend you take #1and #2 into account when deciding.

Computer is still the best, you can't customize your PS3 like you can with a PC.

That's because you don't need to. You want to keep playing high-end games on your PC, you've got to constantly upgrade it. That's not needed for any gaming console; all its graphic capabilities are built right in.

If I get a console, I won't be allowed to use the online feature on games because of no inhibitions on the things people say. I really prefer RPG and Adventure games to Shooters(though I love blowing things up). I also love humor in games, though I usually just make things funny when I play. And I like games where it's a pretty free environment so I can do things that aren't a part of the game, like in Mercenaries 2, when I played the demo, I stole a motorcycle and started doing extremely dangerous stunts, such as driving off the roof of a building, and somehow managing to survive by last second manuvers. No, I don't need a blue ray player, but it would be nice. And I want it as low as I can get.

The left is PC and Console with out PhysX. The right, is PC with PhysX. With PhysX everything is generated at runtime, even the fabric tearing.
