Re: What was the last movie you watched?
Ocean's Eleven
Cool, meaningless entertainment. Fun stuff. Should I see the sequels?

Finding Nemo
Such a great film, definitely a classic. The folks at Pixar really outdid themselves with this film.

I'm watching that right now ![]()

Second one was pretty meh and had some pretty stupid stuff in it. The third one was also pretty meh, but not quite as much.

No, they really suck compared to the first one.
EDIT: IMO

IMO, Twelve was a little too complex for its own good, but Thirteen, while still not as good as Eleven, is a nice return to form and still quite entertaining.
Casino Royale
I've seen it several times now, and it's still a magnificent Bond film. What else is there to say?
Also, IMO, I think it has the best opening title sequence in the whole series.
Creature from the black lagoon.
Just awesome. One of my all time favourite horror classics.
@ Darkman: I'm watching it today ![]()

Watch! This! Film! If you have not. It will blow your mind.
It's like the much more weird and colourful version of eXistenZ from Cronenberg, full of references to art and film(making). Dreams. Reality? Postmodern masterpiece.
De Storm (The Storm) is a new Dutch movie about the North Sea flood of 1953.
The intro was very good and I was almost thinking that this would be one of the few good Dutch movies. But after the intro the movie went downwards quickly.
The acting and story were pretty bad. However, the visual effects and cinematography were very good. I did like that the movie ended different than I expected though.
Overall, I didn't really like this movie, but if you were at the North Sea flood in 1953 or live in New Orleans I'd recommend to watch it.
I'm glad Drag Me to hell finally gets some praise.

I agree with Thijs, De Storm is one of those rare Dutch masterpieces.
Surrogates
Boring. Shallow characters, shallow story, and totally misrepresented by the ads. There was only one decent action sequence that I can remember... It just sucked. 2/5*
District 13 - A french film with subtitles. Not the greatest plot, but the stunt work and parkour is impressive and it is a watchable film
Not bad and I don't normally like subtitled films.
District...13? Don't you mean 9?
Anyways,
I recently watched The Informant!, and was overwhelmed with how crappy it was. Although having a good story, the horrible acting from Scott Bakula, and Melanie Lynskey turned me off right away. The story was complex, but also very repetitive. If you didn't know what Price Fixing was when you walked into the theatre, you were going to be bored to death. Barely any humor was involved in it, although advertised as a comedy/drama, and, frankly, I think this may be worse than....TCOTY!

Isn't everything?
