Watch a movie? Read books?
Hmm... well it has to be completely unorthodox. Lets see, well, how about a brickfilm about a Caped Kid? Why not? 
Perhaps you could use NXTManiac's masking thing (See his site) and use it to actually make him fly? Also, use loads of effects and cool cinematography.
Plus, how about a wired Arch-Nemesis? And the Arch-Nemesis is turning the town gray? You could build everything in one part of town out of gray?
Just a suggestion... speaking of which, I could also use an idea! 
Get inspiration by watching good films/reading good books.
Don't ask to use someone else's idea 
1. Think of a story.
2. Then change something about it.
Repeat step 2 several times.
Or animate something, then animate it again in a completely different way.
