Topic: Video Editor?

What is a good video editor that I can use to add sound, video effects, transitions, etc? I heard that Sony Vegas was good, what all does it do for brickfilms? I am on a Windows. Whatever you do, DO NOT tell me to look at the software list. I do not want a list of the different ones without the descriptions of what they do for brickfilming. I don't know too much about this type of software. I'm using WMM right now, but it's too limited and un-professional.

I've decided that I'm going to become immune to several select, non-lethal poisons, then put them in my snacks to discourage sneaky snack snatchers. -Littlebrick

Re: Video Editor?

I could help you if you were on a mac but
obviously you're not

Re: Video Editor?

Adobe Premiere is kind of professional, once you have it you'll be happy!
I used a 2005 Magix student version (a pack of video editing, sth to record sounds,...). It was easy to work with but it still had pretty many options.

Re: Video Editor?

What all does AP do? Also, anything cheaper? I'm using a lot of my money on LEGO stuff.

Re: Video Editor?

Well if your a student you can get After effects or Premiere Pro for 365$ each
or just get FXhome products if your looking for easy editing

Re: Video Editor?

I too am looking around for a better option, and I'm probably going to make the move to Sony Vegas. As soon as I have some new footage to experiment with, I'll be downloading the free trial, and I reccomend you do so too, I'm sure there would be a trial for adobe aswell, though Vegas movie studio seems to be a somewhat less pricey.

Does being a homeschooling student count? And I though FXhome products were used for lightsabers, explosions, chroma keying, etc.

Re: Video Editor?

No, there's Effects Lab Pro, that you can use for lightsabers and stuff, and Composite Lab Pro, wich is for stuff like putting together your video, color grading, masking, chroma keying, and lots of other options, as well as just assembeling you video.

Re: Video Editor?

Axogon Composer isn't available on Macs right? I use it and it works perfectly.

Re: Video Editor?

Yeah, Axogon is a real nice editing software program, I use it a lot.
