Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

This thread has gotten a bit unfair now. I posted a creation, firstly, Silverfox posts over mine not even caring I haven't got at least 3 comments on my creation, and THEN evryone comments on his, once he gets enough, Timothy posts an image, and THEN no one comments on his creation.

And the one thing I am going to say about this: ?

But they weren't feedback, silly.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

They weren't three reviews for him, though.

It's a nice set. A bit small. Try moving the walls back a bit and putting something like a coffee table in the middle to fill the empty space.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Ok ill comment on splash studio's set,

It's ok but you need to build some things into the middle and prehaps build a TV because otherwise the remote is useless

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Here's some feedback on Splash's set mini/bigsmile :

Pretty good! I'm not sure what kind of movie you're using it in, but I think a small coffee table or something might look nice in the middle of the room. (Maybe another couch sitting opposite the one already there?) Maybe a window on the wall opposite the door (or the wall behind the computer desk, next to the computer desk), a rug made of tiles in front of the door, and a floor lamp or planter (small barrel with a flower stem in it?) next to the computer desk might look great too. I love the corner table! Pretty good set!

I never plan on buying anything when I go to the Lego Store.
Strangely enough, I always wind up finding something that makes me ditch those plans.

My first try at a white expansive. I know it needs more light.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Just needs more light, and you need to put the exposure up, if you do that it will look better. I'm working on an Ozzy Osbourne figure at the moment, I'll show you guys later or something.

Anyway(I think that's three comments so I can post my creation now), here is a house for my sigfig I made for me and Brain wave's co-production which will start soon, well, it's more of a room than a house. You don't see a door because when I was setbuilding for THAC I had to take that door out for my other set. I'll get it back in when I start filming for it.

Can I have some feedback?

I don't like the blue and red going together. Maybe different colour walls? I think you should put in some coffee tables as many have suggested. It looks alright, but not your best.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Wait, before you guys say anything more about coffee tables and TVs, I'll get a picture of the angle in a minute. Then you will see why the front is empty. I'll edit this post later.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Can you animate it?

"Animation is about creating the illusion of life. And you can't create it if you don't have one." - Brad Bird

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Yep, the guillotine blade sticks to the poles beside it, so you can slowly lower it down that way and pause at the bottom to slowly remove the head. So its pretty simple to animate.
