I need to find a free or cheap software for composing music digitally. Any suggestions?
If you have a Mac, you can use Garageband.
I use a PC but something like that would be nice.
Well, I have MAGIX Music Maker 15, and it's like a pc version of GarageBand, but it's $60, witch is really cheap as far as software goes.

Why not just hire a composer for free instead of spending money and finding that maybe composing isn't for you.
Or ask a school band, mine have the latest technoligy.

Works on Linux or Windows, I use it with my MIDI keyboard, you can also compose without any extra equipment.
