where exactly did you get that little thing on the top left corner?
It's Adium. It does facebook/yahoo/AIM/etc. No Skype, though 
how exactly do you get it to look like what you have it now?
Adium>Preferences>Appearace>Contact list
Set the color theme and List Layout themes to "Decay 2.0" and the contact bubbles to "Contact Bubbles 'to fit'"

This is an-offtopic question but.. how did you get rid of the icons on your desktop and what folder did you save them in? 
Just delete them? And search for them in the Start section. And you can always find them manually (C:\Program Files\ etc.)
