Topic: PS2 Eyetoy Winddows 7

Does anyone know a way to get the eyetoy drivers to work on windows 7, its a delightful 64 bit OS and i cant think of anyway to get the drivers to install under compatibility, or anything for that matter...Any help would be awesome

Re: PS2 Eyetoy Winddows 7

Isn't 7 supposed to have virtual machine capabilities? If so, couldn't you open up an XP machine and run the drivers in it? I'm not familiar with the system myself though.

Re: PS2 Eyetoy Winddows 7

Im not to sure of that, i havent seen anything regarding that, i can dig around some more into it, maybe that would work, at the momment im running an old laptop with XP on it, i can animate on it and ship all the files over to my maon laptop for editing i guess mini/sad

Just an extra step i suppose

Re: PS2 Eyetoy Winddows 7

I wouldnt use an eyetoy camera, I use to use it in my first animations and it is just...... horrid! mini/sad

Re: PS2 Eyetoy Winddows 7

Actually, the Eyetoy is a good camera to use, as it has manual focus. LBJ uses the Eyetoy. (For example)

First of all, Windows 7 is not delightful. mini/frustrated Second of all Squash is right, it does have XP emulating abilities though I don't know if the beta version has that feature.

On the Logitech site it says that most of their products will be compatible with Windows 7 if you download the updated drivers for them. Now, most companies make their printers, web cams, etc compatible with 64-bit OS'.

Whilst the Eye-toy camera isnt perfect, its great if your streched for budget.

Re: PS2 Eyetoy Winddows 7

well the virtual machine capabilities are based on your BIOS, mine apparently does not accept virtual emulation, so im S.O.L and ill have to use 2 PCs to do anything with it...such is life i guess

Re: PS2 Eyetoy Winddows 7

Then they must have come up with a new camera or something, because that is not the picture I got. mini/smile

Well after 15 minutes of account activation, the drivers did not work, apparently there is no possible way to run the eyetoy on windows 7, or any 64bit OS for that matter, thanks though
