Topic: Music Software

I need some music composing software for mac
because i bought final cut express 4 but it didn't come with soundtrack mini/madhead
final cut studio is to much money
so is there another audio software like soundtrack that i can get
I don't like garage band soooo yeah
I just want to compose music and mix sound effects

Re: Music Software

Sibelius is an extremely powerful composing software. The only missing feature in the free demo is the ability to save, so what you do is print it off, and continue from there next time.

Re: Music Software

Use Darwine and then Buy MixCraft,

Fruity Loops Studio isn't natively Mac. It could be run trough Parallels or some other virtual machine sort of situation I suppose, but that might not be the easiest method.

Re: Music Software

video co pilot effects offers some sound tracks

Re: Music Software

You don't need Soundtrack.  It's helpful, but not necessary.

Re: Music Software

Hmm, having the same problem.

How much does it cost?

Is there a difference between MIDI. keyboard stuff and MAGIX Music maker 15 stuff?

Is this any good for recording my keyboard or using its MIDI interface? I am willing to spend £50 or so.

Re: Music Software

Dude...
MIDI is for keyboards and some programs support it, like FL Studio.
BUT if you just want to compose music on the computer, Music Maker, Mixcraft/Garageband, can help you out.
AND you need to have knowledge of music. If you just want samples buy video copilot's Pro Scores and you're finished.

Now stop bumping this thread for own purpose. mini/madhead

I felt so ripped off by that, the only decent VC products I've bought are Designer Sound FX, Effects Compositing and Evolution.

Re: Music Software

God, Tom take a break. I did read it so stop losing your temper. I play the keyboard: I have a bit of musical talent, I want to use my keyboard which supports MIDI to play stuff on my computer. Is MAGIX a good choice for playing stuff to it on my MIDI computer? Or is there any other programs?

Clear?
