Elements and bricks I probably have around 15,000 just bricks probably around 9,000. Been collecting LEGO as long as I can remember. (And I have two people give me huge tubs of them.)
no idea, i have bought a few 1000+peices sets and i got a whole buttload from relatives going of to college and have bought many smaller sets aswell...i dunno upper thousands!

My brickfilm lego:
One Green grocer (Wich is 2352 or something).
One sorted big box with problarary 1000 inside.
One misc box with 500 inside.
3 Huge gray baseplates, 1 green and 1 dark gray.
= About 4000
Then I had some other crap lego that I dont use 
I have calculated my total up, and I have over 25,000 bricks
Quite a lot, I know, but I've been collecting it since I was 2 years old.
well I just made an excel spreadsheet with roughly all my lego. I probably forgot a couple sets. I have 11, 810 lego pieces. thats not including any bionicle or train tracks. I just realized 30% of my lego is Star wars.

The older ones have some good pieces for brickfilming.

5,000 to 6,000 peices.
I own 80-90 kg of Legos
not much but enough to get by. like everyone says.... "not enough for what i want....."

About 700 bricks and 30 minifigs
About 30 bricks and about 180 plates and things that are no good for set building(or much esle). And about 20 Star Wars minifigs and 4 minifigs not SW, Jawa Sandcrawler, AT-AP, an a couple of the old SW sets. So that's a sum total of 1,500 pieces, and only 30 of them I can use for set making 
. I plan on getting the Green Grocer soon to fix that

Approxamitely 10,271 pieces.

Well, according to brickset I have 11462 bricks and 127 minifigures.
