ok. i see loads of cool members with avatars. i dont have one. i tried to get one but it is too large. i tried google but what do ya know.. not the right type. i want one of my lego characters but i don't know how to resize it. it's from a fugifilm s5000 camera. what do i do?
Use Microsoft Paint, or Photoshop, or the free GIMP (I highly recommend it) to scale your image down to 70x70 or smaller. Then save it to your hard drive as a JPEG. Log into BiM, go into Profile>Avatar and upload your image. Done. 
EDIT: If you have any other questions, be sure to check out BertL's Beginner's Guide to BiM. I know there's a paragraph in there specifically about avatars.

thanks but i tried the paint thing. it didn't work... is photoshop free?

Photoshop, for free? Google? That's piracy. Use Gimp, as Noodle said, ITS FREE!

No, it sounded as though you said that you got photoshop from google, but your avatar is most definitaly not piracy 
Your avatar/profile picture is fine, but if you have Photoshop and you didn't pay for it, yes that is piracy.

It's more likely to be the fact that most members are boys.

Download Paint.Net Import the picture and resize while saving.
