I use wmm. it's ok. it crashes alot but it's ok. i don't really want monkeyjam. my camera can't use it. should i get a new camera and get monkey jam? or stick with what i have because i know how to use it and it's ok?:)
WMM Is an Editor And MonkeyJam is a Frame Capture Program :
Also how much is your budget? If 100 dollars or over Opt for the Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000.
And I would change the editor to maybe VirtualDub; It's free and better than WMM.
CapedKid, MonkeyJam has a built in editor.
Srsly, go for VDub.
well you see, i use a very big, bulky camera. it's my dad's. it's a fugifilm s5000 finepix. it's alright. plus, i wouldn't be aloud get a camera until christmas.... 
MonkeyJam is a faster easier way of making your films:yes: ! I do not use it though:no: ! I wouldn't dare use a PC! I use a Mac! And I use Framebyframe to animate!
use Helium Frog. I think it might be compatible with some still cameras. What's your camera?
As for which one of the two I would use if I could only use one of them, I'd go for Monkey Jam. I think it's a good program, but what really makes it suck is that there's no onionskinning. You'd be better off using a film camera and doing it the old surface guage and pointers way. Movie Maker works, but I'd go for AnimatorDV if you want to do what movie maker does. It's free, it does have onionskinning, and it allows you to import your frames, and choose the frame rate.
Only the "Simple+" version is free.

I was filming with MonkeyJam.Cuz my pc lagz with MonkeyJam.Well of course i suggest to film with MonkeyJam.Not with WMM.
Now I will film with Helium Frog.

I vote MonkeyJam. Although it doesn't have onionskinning, it has good resolutions, and it lets you add sound to the exposure sheet so you get get movements in sync with the voice. I used Animator DV Simple+, but it's not very "Simple" to me.
Although, WMM does come in handy for some effects.

Smeagol should make a sticky that says "Don't Use Windows Movie Maker". We can avoid threads like this altogether.

We used to use WMM...
I used to do the editing of whole films several times and get really, really angry.I mean, really.
Then we bought a Qickcam, and downloaded monkeyjam.
And the sun rised and shined in our lives.
Then we bought sony vegas
And it was even more shiny.
