Topic: The 2008 Bricks In Motion Awards LIVE

The 2008 Bricks In Motion Awards will presented over a live chat this year, using the same setup as the STAR premiere. There will be a mibbit based chat, and a vimeo video area at the top. There will be an intro video, nominations list, and winning films announced during the Live session. The results will be publicly announced in a thread here shortly after the Live session ends.

Time

The 2008 Bricks In Motion Awards LIVE will begin on Sunday, August 9th, at 8:00 PM UTC, the same time that the STAR premiere was at. This time, although late for some members, has produced a large audience, so the same time will be used again. You can find your local time here.

Schedule

The Live session will go according to this schedule:

INTRO VIDEO/INTRODUCTION
A short intro video will begin the awards, followed by a brief introduction of the BiM Awards. The winners of each category will be announced shortly after.

AWARDS ANNOUNCEMENT
     -Best Animation Nominees/Winning Film
     -Best Screenplay Nominees/Winning Film
     -Best Cinematography Nominees/Winning Film
     -Best Visual Effects Nominees/Winning Film
     -Best Set Design Nominees/Winning Film
     -Best Sound Design Nominees/Winning Film
     -Best Original Score Nominees/Winning Film
     -Best Vocal Performance Nominees/Winning Film
     -Best Ensemble Cast Nominees/Winning Film
     -Best Film Nominees/Winning Film

The last award that will be announced is Best Film, to add to the dramatic effect mini/wink All other awards will be annouced in the order listed above. Small clips of every film will be shown during the nominee lists.

CONCLUSION
The 2008 BiM Awards will be wrapped up, and the Live session will end following Best Film.

Getting in the Live Chat

Shortly before the beginning of the BiM Awards LIVE, I will post a link in this forum to the Bricks in Motion Live screening room.  The screening room will be integrated with a mibbit-based IRC chat for those who wish to join in the chat that will take place concurrently.  Video will be powered by Vimeo - if you can play Vimeo videos you should be able to watch the videos that will be played during the chat.

Well, after the chat a transcript will be posted on the forums, along with a compilation video of the event, which will include all video from the Live session rolled into one video.
We won't need anyone to record, as everything from the event will eventually be posted.

Not for the 2008 Awards, but they could for 2009. The nominees have already been posted, and those films are from 08. Any film submitted now would be eligible for the 09 Awards, not these awards.

I can't go sadly. I'm disappointed. I'm missing it because I have to clean mini/sad . Well At least I saw the BAFAs last year and STAR. Good Luck everyone.
