I Brickfilm as one day i want to be a director or make music for Films.
Cos I do.
Its super fun, really cool and people sometimes even stop me and say "I'm a big fan of you're lego movies" or "I watched your videos last night" and that gives me a feeling of accomplishment.
Why I actually started brickfilming was because in the summer holidays, I had nothing to do (I didnt even know that time those I called "legofilms" where so popular) so I started animating with uhm.... I dont know fps... but you can see one of them on dumpbin2232 youtube sited "lego vikings I".
Its still fun animating, now with 15fps, I never thought I'd improve that much and I look forward improving in the future (what I want to say is improving in making brickfilms is what actually keeps me up, its just much better than improving in math or smth.). If I now look at my first vids I am thinking Oh my god, thats weird....

For me, Brickfilming is like a vast plain where I can let my ideas run free, without anyone disagreeing with me.

Total escapism when filming, you forget any stress about anything, you're just concentrating on animating
As I can't sing a note, play any instruments, not artistic in the slightest, this is a neat way that I can actually do something creative and enjoy that whole imagination through to creation process that has been frustrated previously and then the sense of achievement when people like what you have created

Get comfortable with the medium. Enter some big contests. It's not something I could do as a day job, but it is cool to make some cash off of it.

Of course that's not the only reason. I can think of hundreds of things that would make more money with less effort than brickfilming. If I were only in it for the money I'd be doing other stuff.

There are many reasons for why I brickfilm, but here is one of the main ones...
I can create life in and control in in any way I want. I can become something that no human could be in the real world.

Because of the awsome result at the end 
I think one of the main reasons for me is the scale. Unlike some other animation mediums, LEGO doesn't take up a lot of space. Unless you have a lot of LEGO. Even in that case, you would have more material per space as opposed to some other materials.
Also, as has been stated, it's LEGO! It's one of the best things ever.
I also agree with the point that you can do anything, and I'll add to that that you can do it basically by yourself.
LEGOs were something I already had, and the way that they are manufactured makes them great for animation.
Above all of those, it's fun to animate and see your final element of film work and move in the way that you wanted it to.
i brickfilm because it your own movie.
there are never any part of it where you wish something different would've happen because you created it how you wanted it.
so your always happy with the out come.
and i just love to build with legos
I do it because i find it fun, it's my hobby.
Cause I feel like it. Gosh!
