What software can I use to make a lightning bolt in post or that's free and easy to use?

If you have Sony Vegas you can use a plug-in from there. If only it would work for me mini/sad .

EDIT: Gotcha, in the Media Generators tab, click "Noise Texture" and then scroll down untill you see Lightning. Just tweak around and then RIDE THE LIGHTNING!!!!!

No, it's not 3D. For something like that you need the FXHome plugin and After Effects.

actually, if you do the Pan/Crop effect, you can make it sideways.

BTW: Ride The Lightning!
