i film because of all the movies i saw that were good then took a horrible turn to make it a bad movie.
i wanted to change that
and i love to take pictures
and i love legos
and putting them together seem like a no brainer...
and if no ones mentioned it: its just fun
yeah like1/2 of the posts on here are about how fun it is
Seriously? Brickfilming? Fun? I find it so incredibly tedious. I mean, laying out the shots and stuff is satisfying, but stop-motion animation was never designed to be enjoyed.
Oh well.
It really depends for me. Animating dialog, or 4 people walking simultaneously, or something of that nature, is boring and tedious, but animating, say, a fight scene, can be fun. Really though I tend to see the animation process as a means to an end, though I do enjoy post-production.

I Brickfilm Because one day two years ago my mom was on Youtube and When She typed in lego Indiana jones under my request, she found a simple animation based on the gold Idol scene and that was the day I decided to become a Brickfilmer.

But seriously, I animate because it makes me all relaxed and stuff. I also like how I can control pretty much everything provided the minifigs don't fall over and I don't hit a super hot lamp or something like that. All in all it's just something that is a slow process and gives you some time to just sit and think. You start out with pretty much nothing, then frame by frame you piece something together until it's a nice little film. In a way, it's a lot like puzzling or knitting. Except way more cool and geeky.
I needed more stress in my life.
I wanted something non-physical do to after school.
I like creating a world where if I want ninjas and zombies appearing form nowhere THEN I'M GONNA GET NINJAS AND ZOMBIES APPEARING FROM NOWHERE!
its something that I can do where as the other people in my film school don't even want to try. and I've been doing it for close to 9 years.
One day my brother was mowing and I had nothing else to do. So I made an animation. And then when my dad said it was good, I liked it. 'Been making movies ever since. 
I have no idea why I started:no:- and no idea why I continue, but I do. Hey, why not?:lol:

I brickfilm because it's satisfying.

I kept brickfilming because I always get a feeling of accomplishment when I finish a film and I like to entertain others.
