I didn't think it was that great?

Eh. I'd have to agree. The story was supuerb, but the cinematography and acting was. . .lackluster.

Now that I think of it, I feel the opposite. I thought the story was lacking, but cinematography and acting were great.

Chrissa: An American Girl movie.
I was forced to watch this with my sister.
I am so proud of myself, I watched the whole thing without puking.

A lot of people on BiM have really questionable taste.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

I liked the film.

Its one of those films you don't watch for the good technical qualities mini/bigsmile

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

I was forced to see Dan in Real Life. It was pretty predictable, and the end was very lame and cheesy. I also finally saw Dane Cook, and yes, he is indeed not really funny. Anyway, Steve Carrell gave his best, but the only higlight was definitely Emily Blunt's short part.

I watched the first Harry Potter movie. I wasn't really impressed - the plot kind of left me constantly on the edge of boredom. I guess it's just not my kind of film.

in science class

I'm not bashing The Core (Srysly gais, is a moovie), but in science class? Of course, I actually can see some of my past teachers popping in the film and claiming everything contained in it was plausible... I just think it's rather funny that they showed this particular film in a science class. No offense intended of course.

The Chronicles Of Narnia, The Lion, The Wiitch, and the Wardrobe
Never gets boring, I love this movie so much. It got me in the Narnia mood. I'm gonna go read some Narnia books after I'm done filming some bits of Meet Larry

The Evil Deads 1 & 2

Sam Raimi certainly knows how to make a campy horror movie. They were both great fun.

Yes the Evil Dead movies are great ! The third  one (Army of Darkness) was also really cool

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

I just watched Land of the Dead by George A. Romero
Very good movie but not as good as his Dawn of the Dead and Day of the Dead.
I suggest watching this movie if you like gorey zombiemovies.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Take the Money and Run

I just saw this and it is one of the funniest films I've ever seen. Every joke is brilliant and nothing fails. I just wish it never ended I could have sat through more hours of it.

Really good. But is it just me or does shaky camera work make you feel ill when it's on the cinema screen? Combined with the dark scenes and flash of the guns I felt a bit disorientated at some points. Also whenever the camera moved things blurred - might be something to do with the fact they shot digital.. ?

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Public Enemies

It was well-acted and technically very well put together, but otherwise, I didn't find the story overly compelling. I don't think there was enough backstory given to the setting to make Dilliger's story more interesting; I never knew why he was such a major public icon, only that he was. Johnny Depp and Marion Cotillard were great, though Christian Bale was horribly underused, his character had the least development of everyone. And I'm not so sure the High-Def appearance worked in the film's favor. It was an interesting (if not strange) choice, but it looked way out of place here.

So overall, good, but not great.
