it's really cool, it takes records and puts them into itunes.
Heres my set up!
I think its pretty snazzy, you can see the extra monitor/computer (whichever i decide to use it for) to the left behind the cabinet there. Its super nice having that. Otherwise yeah, I use a QC9000.
I have a snowball, I don't use a pop filter. Plosive sounds are a problem occasionally, but as long as I avoid strong air going directly into the mic head it's not much of a problem.
Actually, you can make your own pop filter for about $10, or less. Get an embroidery hoop and a cheap set of nylon stockings (or you could get a old (clean!) set from your mom, sister, girlfriend, etc.), put the toe of the stocking in the hoop, stretch it tight, and you have a pop filter.
