Not entirely, actually. The flatness is merely for the look; I hadn't planned any shot in the film that would show the character's feet, so I figured I'd just tear apart the floor as needed, and apply normal plates where the characters would be walking. It would all be out of shot, so you wouldn't know, unless I told you, which I just did. I also did it because I really wanted a tan floor, but didn't have enough plates.
One of the pluses of doing this is that the set is easier to take apart; the left wall, for example, is only connected to the set by about four studs; two in the front, two in the back, so it's pretty easy to remove if needed. I haven't found the other pluses yet.
So, any suggestions? Should add any carpeting? Furniture? It's a living room, by the way.

here are some shots of my newest set, it is an awesome set to animate with! i just love it! tell me if there is anything i can do to make it look even better than it is! your critique is very appreciated. oh and sorry about the amount of pics, it just doesnt all fit in one shot 
the whole idea is that it is an underground base sorta room with tree roots growing through and all of that good stuff, the lighting is different in the movie itself, i just want input on the set itself...

A red carpet would look cool, I think. How about taking out some of those tan plates and insert some red bricks in the same technique instead?

The truck is great, but personally, I think the LEGO City cop car is better. It is still a good job though.
The truck is great! The car one the other hand... I think the roof is too square, if you changed that... 
yup i guess the concensus is that you should continue to tweek the cop car a bit more...

does anyone know where I can order soliders? or a good technique if making them? like battle soliders.
