I've heard of the XviD CODEC format before.
what exactly is it for?never could learn what this compession thing is for
Compression is used to make large files smaller, by COMPRESSING them.
It doesn't work on 64-bit systems though
What is a 64-bit system?

I was also just thinking you have to save a video file as AVI to get it to work but what do Brickfilms save as naturaly?
If it saves as say I dunno another format would I have to sownload a converter to make files AVI?

The format your video is in depends on how you saved it when you exported it from your animation software.

AVI is just a container. It's the codec that matters. Uncompressed is best quality, but is horribly large (with a 640x480 resolution, it's 900kB per frame). The XviD codec has pretty great compression.
Xvid has been around for ages, it's nothing new.
