You can't say they watch it instead, One: because the big bang theory is on BEFORE the inbetweeners, and Two: the two shows are not comparible.
I also watch the inbetweeners, simply because I can relate to it.
Why because you go to Caravan Club?
No because the characters are about the same age as me and like getting wrecked and fit girls.

Yes, I pride myself in judging a book by it's cover. But I can tell you this; any show that advertises it's self by showing two guys demonstrating a machine that will zap them when their willies get a little too large is not for me. And if that is the best the writers can come up with, then I can tell just from that that it is a very poor program.
I KNEW that was the reason! Look, just because somebody has a natural view of human sexuality doesn't mean they're uncreative. I guess I see that it's not your taste, but there's no need to act like you're somehow more mature (something which at times seems very strange in itself) because you have strange and repressed views on reproduction.
I got invited to a marathon this weekend; let me get back to this thread after then.

How is it strange and repressed? I just think that it's a very unfunny joke about something that should be a little more private.
Never watched it. I know a person who continually says I should. He seems to think I share a large amount of personality traits with one of the main characters, but from reading the show's synopsis I can't help but feel like that is an insult.
I do watch The Big Bang Theory quite frequently, and enjoy it. I do agree with what was said earlier though, that The IT Crowd is a better alternative.
Thinking a show is bad just based on the advert is pretty poor, really. At least watch one episode! I don't remember the episode with those brick jokes, anyway...
The IT Crowd is genius.

Well, I mean, it happens to 50% of people, so why not joke about it?
If you haven't seen this show, you need too. It's on CBS Mondays at 8:00 and 9:30 Pacific time, and Easter time. Yes, it's accurate for both. (I suppose they have individual networks for east and west) It's perhaps the best-written show on television right now. The actors are great, the timing is amazing. I'd put it up there with Seinfeld. I really hope CBS keeps it. If you can, watch it tonight, come back and discuss. Or, if you've seen it, discuss. I have it TiVo'd. Yay for comedy.
i LOVE this. unfortunatly i missed like 1/2 of one of the seasons, but i figure with reruns and stuff i see online i can catch up soon
I like the big bang theory, yes.
EDIT:
To be really honest, I mainly only watch it for this:
I'd give her a go anyday.....
Haha same.
I just watched 10 episodes; I think it's quite funny, even though it feels forced at times. I disagree that the timing is good; I wish they didn't have the laugh track because that sort of messes things up.
Yeah, the Laugh track bugs me at times, too.

Erm. Yes it does
Yup, watch it, love it.
I'll be picking up the dvd's when they finally get around to getting them out as R4's.
I've never seen it before, becuase, thank god, Australia hasn't started broadcasting it, (as far as I know).
It has been shown in Australia. I think channel 9 was showing it in post-prime time earlier this year, but as far as I know they've only shown parts of season one. And they tend to move shows around to different timeslots for no apparent reason other than making people miss shows they are trying to see.
I like the show because the sense of humour appeals to me and they are not going for the lowest common denominator like a lot of shows do. I don't like Seinfeld because it isn't the type of show that I like but I do appreciate that it was massively popular and a comparison like that should be considered a compliment (or praise to be more accurate).
As for the "willie-zapping" ad, I have not seen it and do not recall that being in any of the episodes that I have seen (all of season one and first half of season 2). I don't know if that is from later in season 2, season 3 or another show but it does not sound like the type of humour in what I have seen thus far. I like this bit.
