Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Terminator Salvation was pretty weak. Good action/special fx, but it suffered from a weak story and characters. CGI Arnie was my favorite part, but it just came across as desperate fan service.

And the ending was weaksauce.

TWO OUT OF FIVE ROBOT POINTS

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

The Dark Knight
Woah, that was awesome.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Ran
It was really great, it's a shame that Netflix doesn't have the Criterion Collection's DVD because the restoration on the so called masterworks edition was terrible, it wasn't even 1.85:1 it was 16:9 mini/confused

edit:

Storm Cell

This was one of the more "smaller" budget films. Think of it like Twister but it's in Seattle and has an extra sub-plot. (And no Dusty. mini/sad)

The Bourne Identity

I saw it, and it was good.

The Fly (1986)

Wow. This was an incredible movie. Amazingly, through almost all of the most disgusting parts I found myself saying 'omg awesome'. I thought the effects were just brilliant. Also, I'm not to much of a Jeff Golblum fan but he did absolutely awesome acting in this, you could see how intensely the fly was taking over his mind little by little. I recommend seeing this film, though maybe not if you're the extremely squeamish type. mini/mrgreen

Stranger Than Paradise

Fantastic stuff from the 80s. Jim Jarmusch has an awesomely subtle sense of humor, and knows how to make a film with absolutely no cliches.

I love seeing the credits of early independent films, because all these names come up of people who became well-known later.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

over Memorial Day weekend, I watched all 11 Star Trek films.

The only ones I recommended seeing are of course the new one, and The Wrath of Kahn.

The new film has renewed my absolute love of TOS.

In 1992, Ken Mortimer was an advertising executive in Baltimore, Maryland. Then, for reasons known only to him, he left his wife and career, and moved deep into the forest.

Dan, I was trying to do that, but I had things to do. I love Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, I think it's hilarious.

Good, I'm not the only one who thinks that. They completely butchered it.

No, butchers actually have some amount of skill. I think they ran it over with a herd of buffalo and just slapped the remains onto the screen.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Why would anyone watch a movie with Will Ferrell in it? Really?

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

I wonder that too.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

I'm glad people like Will Ferrell exist because when I see there name on a poster I know with certainty that I am not missing anything by avoiding it.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

The only good film with Will Ferrell in it was Elf, in my opinion. Everything else; bah.

My most dire apologies to butchers everywhere. Seriously, a YouTube Poop of the film would be more entertaining.
